Materials and Tools Required:

Brushed copper tile trim

Tile adhesive

Grout float

Measuring tape

Utility knife

Wet saw (optional)

1. Determine Trim Placement: Plan the exact location of the tile trim based on the tile layout and the desired finished look. Use a level to ensure the trim is placed straight and level.

2. Measure and Cut Trim: Measure and mark the length of the trim needed for each section. Use a utility knife to score the trim and then snap it to the desired length. For intricate cuts, a wet saw can provide greater precision.

3. Clean Tile Surface: Remove any debris or dust from the tile surface where the trim will be applied. This will ensure a strong bond between the adhesive and the trim.

1. Apply Adhesive to Trim: Using a notched trowel, apply a thin layer of tile adhesive to the back of the trim. Ensure the adhesive is spread evenly over the entire surface.

2. Place Trim on Tile: Position the trimmed piece on the tile surface, aligning it with the marked placement. Press down firmly to ensure the adhesive bonds securely.

3. Use Spacers: Insert tile spacers between the trim and the tile edges. This will create a consistent grout joint width and prevent the trim from shifting during the grouting process.

1. Mix and Apply Grout: Mix the grout according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Use a grout float to apply the grout to the joints between the tiles and the trim. Work diagonally to fill the joints completely.

2. Remove Excess Grout: After letting the grout set for a few minutes, use a damp sponge to remove any excess grout from the surface of the tiles and trim. Wipe away the excess with a clean towel.

3. Seal the Trim: Once the grout has dried, apply a clear sealant to the brushed copper trim. This will protect the trim from moisture damage and enhance its durability.

Finishing Touches

1. Remove Spacers: Remove the tile spacers once the grout has fully cured. This will allow you to admire the finished look of the tile trim.

2. Clean Surfaces: Use a damp cloth to clean the tile surface and trim of any remaining dust or debris. Allow it to dry completely before admiring your newly installed brushed copper tile trim.
